MANILA, Philippines — A suspected leader of a private armed group in Maguindano was arrested on Friday morning, police said.
Through a search warrant, personnel of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) swooped down the hideout of suspect Datu Ibrahim Sema Sinsuat Jr., tagged as the leader of the Datu Ibrahim S. Sinsuat Group.
Police seized a .9-millimeter pistol, a .45-caliber pistol, an M16 rifle, four magazines and 84 rounds of assorted ammunition.
A case for violation of RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act is being prepared against the suspect, police said. /jpv
