Main suspect in killing of British national arrested—police

MANILA, Philippines—The main suspect in the killing of a British national has been arrested Tuesday in Laguna, Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr., Philippine National Police spokesman said Wednesday.
Cruz said that the suspect, identified as Anselmo Reyes Lacostales,28, is the main suspect in the murder of British national John Lorne Mac Donald.

Lacostales was arrested at his rented apartment in Guadalupe Phase 1 , Barangay (village) 2B, San Pablo City, Laguna around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday by virtue of arrest warrant issued by Judge Ma. Conchita Lucero-De Mesa of Branch 70 of the Regional Trial Court of Binangonan, Rizal issued last January 3, 2011.

Lacostales is now under the custody of Angono Municipal Police Station, Cruz said.
