DID YOU KNOW: PH urbanization level at 51.2% in 2015

According to the results of the latest census released by the Philippine Statistics Authority, the country’s level of urbanization was recorded at 51.2 percent in 2015. This meant that 51.73 million out of its population of 100.98 million resided in barangays classified as urban. There were 7,437 barangays classified as urban and 34,599 as rural.
