MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 3.7 earthquake struck Sarangani in Davao Occidental on Wednesday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The quake, of tectonic origin, was reported 114 kilometers southeast of Sarangani, Davao Occidental around 7:18 p.m.
The quake had a depth of 13 kilometers.

Phivolcs said they are not expecting damage or aftershocks.
The incident happened only a day after a magnitude 6.5 quake rocked Eastern Samar. A magnitude 6.1 earthquake also hit Zambales on Monday. /ee
