A bystander who refused to be named told INQUIRER.net that Sagawinit was hit by a red Mitsubushi Adventure bearing licence plate VDM 664 around 10:06 a.m. while he was escaping after he allegedly shoplifted from an “ukay-ukay” (used clothing) store nearby.
Santos said that the victim is now at the East Avenue Medical Center, but may have sustained fracture in his left arm and laceration due to the accident.
Meanwhile, a Quezon City Police District Station 10 officer confirmed that the driver is now under their custody but refused to identify the suspect as investigation is still ongoing.
