SAN MARCELINO, ZAMBALES — A 6-year-old boy here was killed after he was hit by falling rocks caused by the magnitude 6.1 earthquake on Monday.
Waring Serano, a resident of Barangay Buhawen suffered head injuries that resulted in his death, a report from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) said.
The quake also caused a landslide in Mt. Bimmukel here, forcing the evacuation of about 120 families, the PDDRMO said.
Zambales Gov. Amor Deloso suspended classes and government work on Tuesday to allow the assessment of structures in the province.
