Dead man found scorched in empty Pampanga fishpond

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The body of a still unidentified man was found burning at an empty fishpond in a remote village of Mabalacat City on Monday morning (April 22).

Police have not yet determined if the man was already dead when his remains were set ablaze.

A resident of Purok 1 in Barangay (village) Bical found the body at 7:30 a.m. at the boundary of Mabalacat and Magalang town, according to Mabalacat police chief, Lt. Col. Maharlika Oscal Villasis.

The slain man had a brown complexion, sported blonde hair, was medium-built, and about 5’10 tall. The body has not been claimed. The police did not say how the man died.

It was the first known case of a man being scorched in Mabalacat, which is located in Pampanga’s northern boundary.
