Factory worker drowns in Zambales on Black Saturday

SAN ANTONIO, ZAMBALES — A 35-year-old factory worker died after drowning in a popular tourist spot here on Black Saturday, police said.

Pjay Chavarria, a resident of Barangay Manggahan in Subic town, was on a beach outing with his family at Nagsasa Cove in Barangay Pundakit here when he drowned while swimming before noon.

Police said two other tourists in the area tried but failed to rescue the victim.

Nagsasa is among the secluded coves of this town and has been drawing tourists during summer.
