Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather specialist Ariel Rojas said the easterlies or the warm winds blowing from the Pacific Ocean is still the main weather system affecting the country.
He, however, noted that thunderstorms could be experienced Friday late afternoon or evening in some parts of the country.
“‘Yung easterlies o mainit at maalinsangang hangin mula sa Dagat Pasipiko ang nakakaapekto sa Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao na magdudulot ng mainit at maalinsangang panahon ngayong araw,” he said.
No low-pressure area (LPA) is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) over the weekend, Rojas added.
Meanwhile, the temperature in Metro Manila is anticipated to reach as high as 35 degrees Celsius on Good Friday. /kga
