MANILA, Philippines — A suspected “Bahala Na Gang” member was shot dead in Malate, Manila, police said Thursday.
The Manila Police District (MPD) said that the still unidentified victim was walking on A. Mabini Street corner Pres. Quirino Avenue when a lone gunman shot him at around 1:50 a.m. on Wednesday.
The assailant fled toward Taft Avenue after the crime.
A concerned citizen rushed the victim to Ospital ng Maynila.
The victim expired the following day due to several gunshot wounds.
The victim did not have an ID with him when he was attacked.
A resident in the area said he noticed the victim by face as a gang member.
Police said the fatality is around 35 to 40, is 5’6 to 5’7 tall and has tattoos on different parts of his body. /gsg
