Passengers in seaports reach 288K on Holy Tuesday — PCG

MANILA, Philippines — The number of passengers in seaports across the country continued to increase on Tuesday, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said.

According to PCG, a total of 83,056 outbound passengers were reported from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday.

Most of the passengers are in Western Visayas (15,183 passengers), Southern Tagalog (12, 096 passengers), and Central Visayas (12,102 passengers).

The number of passengers on Tuesday morning is also higher than the number of outbound passengers recorded on Monday evening at 53,740.

With the latest update, the total of outbound passengers in various ports has reached 288,929 since midnight on Monday.

The detailed breakdown of outbound passengers from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday are as follows:

1. National Capital Region-Central Luzon – 2,978

2. Central Visayas – 12,102

3. South Western Mindanao – 3,966

4. Palawan – 4,477

5. Southern Tagalog – 12,096

6. Western Visayas – 15,183

7. North Western Luzon – 669

8. South Eastern Mindanao – 8,105

9. Bicol – 9,520

10. Northern Mindanao – 1,986

11. Eastern Visayas – 3,920

12. North Eastern Luzon – 814

13. Southern Visayas – 7,240
