According to Police Col. Moises Villaceran Jr. of the Mandaluyong police, Aung was in charge of collections for the company’s account. Police said the suspect was issued a work visa to work in the country.

Villaceran said Aung managed to divert the amount to his personal bank account.

Philip Chua, an employee of the firm, told police that Aung allegedly took the money and planned to spend it on a high-end KTV bar.

Aung is now under police custody as appropriate charges are being readied against him. /muf
