MANILA, Philippines — The whole country will generally have cloudy skies caused by the easterlies and a frontal system, the state weather bureau said on Saturday.
The regions of Bicol, CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon), MIMAROPA (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan), and the islands of Visayas, and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) also warns residents in these areas to prepare for possible flash floods during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands will have cloudy skies with light rains caused by a frontal system, Pagasa said.
Pagasa added that Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.
Possible flash floods during severe thunderstorms could be expected as an effect, Pagasa said. /muf
