Bohol parking dispute: Tricycle driver shot dead

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol – A tricycle driver was shot dead by a security guard following an argument over a parking slot oThursday afternoon.

Zandro Galleza, 40, a native of Barangay San Isidro in Pilar town, Bohol, suffered three gunshot wounds to the head and body.

Jevy Ronald Lubiano, 30,  security guard of Alturas Mall, was arrested shortly after shooting Galleza at around 4 p.m.

He told the Inquirer that he didn’t regret shooting the victim since he believed that his life was in danger.

“Sorry lang ko sa pamilya, pamilyado sab ko. Dawaton lang unsay mahitabo nako (I’m sorry to his family because I also have a family. I will accept whatever will happen to me),” he said.

“Naniguro lang ko kay tingali maunhan pa ko (I just wanted to make sure because he might shoot me first),” he added.

Witnesses said Galleza and Lubiano had a heated argument after the security guard called the attention of the driver for illegally parking his tricycle in front of a mall.
