MANILA, Philippines—Once more, there will be a delay in the release of government teacher’s annual Christmas bonus, a report from Radyo Inquirer 990AM said Tuesday.
The Department of Education Communications Director Tina Ganzon was quoted as saying that the Department of Budget and Management haven’t released the funds for the Productivity Enhancement Incentive program that will give P10,000 bonus to each public school teacher.
Ganzon said that the money may arrive on Thursday, but will still have to undergo processing before it is released.
With this, Gazon said that there will be some teachers who will receive their Christmas bonus after the 25th, but before New Year. Jamie Marie Elona, INQUIRER.net
