MANILA, Philippines—The body of a minor who may have been raped before she was killed, was found in Quezon Province Monday evening, police said Tuesday.
Officer on case, Police Officer 2 Raymund Tan Ramos said that the 11-year-old was found lifeless, bloodied, and undressed past 10 p.m. Monday in Dolores, Quezon.
Ramos said the victim sustained head injury which she may have sustained after being hit with a hard object by the suspect who the police identified as Allan Pionela Lagar, 24, driver and resident of Sitio (sub-village) Nangkaan, Barangay (village) Sta. Lucia, Dolores, Quezon.
The victim may have died on the spot, Ramos said.
Initial investigation of police revealed that the victim was seen on board the passenger tricycle (1611 WK) driven by Lagar before the incident. The vehicle was recovered about 100 meters away from the crime scene, said Ramos.
He said that the body of the victim currently lies at the ACE Funeal in San Pablo City.
However, Ramos said that Lagar remains at large.
Thorough and in-depth investigation is still being undertaken, he said.
