MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Thursday indicted Daraga, Albay Mayor Carlwyn Baldo for the killing of Ako Bicol Rep. Rodel Batocabe in December last year.

Two counts of murder and six counts of attempted murder were filed against Baldo and five others namely Christopher Naval, Emmanuel Rosello, Jaywin Babor, Henry Yuson, and Rolando Arimado.

The cases were filed before the Legazpi City Regional Trial Court.

Batocabe and his security escort, Senior Police Officer 1 Orlando Diaz, were shot dead by unidentified men in a remote village in Daraga last December 22.
