MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte is set to fire another government official next week, Malacañang said Thursday.

“Ia-announce niya next week. Binanggit niya rin ‘yun kagabi during the meeting with some businessmen. He will be firing another official next week,” Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said in an interview over dzMM.

Panelo, however, did not disclose further details of the supposed firing.

Last week, Duterte announced that he would fire more officials during the distribution of financial grants to the beneficiaries of the government’s unconditional cash transfer program in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
