Sugbo TV to go national

SUGBO TV, Cebu province’s cable television channel, will now be carried in several cable operating stations in the country.

This developed after 12 cable operators signed an agreement yesterday for the national airing of Sugbo TV.

Cebu Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale said that Cebu, being a premiere province in the country, needs extensive exposure.

“I personally feel this partnership is a ‘quantum leap’… better exposure… and be partners in promoting Cebu as tourism haven in the country,” she said in her opening speech.

Prize Libertine of Caizer Cable said that it was through Sugbo TV channel that she saw the “unexplored beauty” of the province.

“Garbo kaayo nako nga makita ang Sugbo TV,” she said.

Caizer Cable operates a part in Zamboanga City and some parts in Negros Island.

Under the agreement, the cable operators will carry  for free Sugbo TV 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Capitol for its part will advertise the Cable TV operators in its Sugbo Newsletter.

The cable operators are Starsat Cable, Caizer Cable, Neca Cable, Cordova Cable, Destiny Cable, Danao Cable, KC Cable, Orient Cable and Telecommunications, Dapitan City Cable Television, Tuburan Cable and Velocity Cable. /Correspondent Carmel Loise Matus
