Cops nab teen couple over P120k-worth marijuana in QC

MANILA, Philippines — A teen couple was arrested after policemen caught them in posession of P120,000 worth of marijuana following a buy-bust operation in Quezon City on Tuesday afternoon.

Police collared the 16-year-old girl and 17-year-old boy, allegedly live-in partners, at Barangay Kaunlaran in Cubao.

Police said they confiscated from the suspects a transparent clean wrap containing a kilo of marijuana and a cellular phone.

The teenagers will be turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), according to police. /kga
