Driver dies, 2 backriders hurt in Davao del Sur crash

SULOP, DAVAO DEL SUR — A motorcycle driver died instantly while his two back riders were rushed to the provincial hospital, at 11:10 a.m. Monday, after their motorcycle bumped into the front left corner of a fuel tanker at Purok 1, Barangay Tagansuli here.

Col. Alan Manibog, police provincial director, identified the the fatality as Kern John De Domo, 27, a resident of Lower Binugao in Toril, Davao City.

His passengers, Ariel Torres, 44; and  Rey John Mascaruño, 20; were injured.

Witnesses disclosed that the motorcycle was running at a very high speed along a curving lane when it crashed into the tanker.

The driver of the tanker was held in Malalag police custody to answer charges. Orlando B. Dinoy, Inquirer Mindanao /lb
