Suspected gang member nabbed in Pasay for illegal gun possession
MANILA, Philippines — A suspected member of the Sputnik Gang was nabbed for illegal possession of firearms in Pasay City Monday night.
Police arrested Joshua Yari, 24, along Molave Street at Barangay 1145, Zone 16 in Pasay City for possession of a homemade gun and one magazine loaded with one bullet.
According to police, Yari will be facing illegal possession of firearms charges in relation to the Omnibus Election Code.
Meanwhile, three persons, including two gang members, were arrested for violating Pasay City Ordinance No. 2106 which prohibits illegal jeepney callers and barkers.
Police identified the suspects as Randy King, 28, Francis Agravante, 33, and Aldrin Jose, 23. King is a member of Batang City Jail Gang, Agravante meanwhile is a member of Sigue-Sigue Sputnik Gang, police said.
The arrested suspects were brought to the Pasay City Police headquarters for custody and filing of charges. /muf
