A driver in Chisago County, Minnesota, United States, who was pulled over for distracted driving, pulled off a surprise to the police officer who reprimanded him — having two pigs in his car, with one weighing 250 pounds, sitting on his lap.
The Chisago County Sherriff’s Office shared its strange encounter with the unidentified driver on Twitter last Tuesday, March 26. The driver was arrested while driving along Intersection 35, as per KMSP-TV via Fox 9.
In the photo on the tweet, the driver’s face could not be seen but one of the pigs sure was visible. Meanwhile, the other pig is unnoticeable in the photo.

As a funny reference about the unlikely encounter, the sheriff’s office said in the tweet that along with activities such as talking on the phone and texting, having a pig on the driver’s lap can now be a cause for distracted driving.
“It was kind of shocking,” Sgt. Jason Foster said in the interview. “He had this 250-pound pig on his lap. In fact, it was leaning against the steering wheel, he was muscling the steering wheel to keep it in its lane.”
He also had a message to fellow drivers who would attempt to do the same thing: “Let the pig lay in the back or put the pig in the passenger seat, whatever. Don’t drive with a pig in your lap, either.”
Foster added that he took the photo because no one would believe him about what he saw. Rather than arresting him, Foster said he let the driver go, but with a warning. Katrina Hallare/JB
