Official of tricycle group killed

MANILA, Philippines — An officer of the Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (TODA) was killed Tuesday, police said.

Crisanto Castillo,31, was about to board his tricycle when an unknown assailant struck him on the head with a blunt instrument, police said.

Police said Castillo died instantly.

Castillo’s mother said her son had figured in an quarrel with someone but it was a long time ago, she said.
