MANILA, Philippines – Easterlies and the ridge of a high-pressure area will bring fair but warm weather to the entire Philippine archipelago on Sunday, the weather bureau said Sunday.
Although generally good, the warm climate could spawn sudden, isolated thunderstorms, said Weather Specialist Gener Quitlong in the 4 a.m., March 31, 2019, forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Quitlong advised the public to monitor weather updates which would warn of developing thunderstorms.
Large portions of Eastern Visayas and Mindanao will be affected by the easterlies, the weather bureau said.
It then warned the residents in Eastern Visayas and Mindanao to brace for possible flash floods during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have a partly cloudy skies weather condition. /cbb
