Cops nab father, son for allegedly peddling P500K shabu in QC

MANILA, Philippines — Over half a million worth of shabu was seized from a father and his son who were arrested during an entrapment operation in their Quezon City apartment on Saturday morning.

Cubao police said the arrested suspects were identified as Jorge Simbulan, 52, and Jorge Michael Simbulan, 30. The arrest operation was conducted at the suspects’ place at No. 22 Mapagmahal Street, Barangay Pinyahan, Diliman in Quezon City around 1:50 a.m.

Seized were 81.30 grams of shabu worth P552,840; one digital weighing scale; marked money worth P1,000; another marked money worth P500; two disposable lighters; and two cellphones.

The suspects were brought to the police station for their proper disposition and documentation for the filing of appropriate charges in court. /jpv
