DFA reaching out to kin of amnesia-stricken Filipino repatriated from China

MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) is reaching out to the family of Richard Soriano, who is suffering from amnesia and was repatriated from China on Friday.

In a statement, the DFA said that Soriano was reportedly left in a hospital in China prior to his repatriation.


The DFA requested that Soriano’s next-of-kin immediately coordinate with the department through the Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs (OUMWA).

The DFA said that Soriano’s family may contact the OUMWA through the telephone numbers: (02) 834-4996 or (02) 834-3246 or via email at [email protected] or [email protected]/
