MANILA, Philippines – Sevilla Bridge in San Juan City will be closed to traffic this weekend to make way for the construction of Metro Manila Skyway 3 Project, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said Friday.
MMDA said the bridge will be closed from 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 30 until 9 a.m. on Sunday, March 31.
The closure will give way to the transfer of barges for the San Juan River Alignment which is part of the construction of the Skyway.
Affected motorists should take alternate routes due to the closure, MMDA advised.
The Skyway is an elevated 14.82-kilometer tollway from Sen Gil J. Puyat Avenue (Buendia) in Makati City to Balintawak in Quezon City.
It will connect the North and South Luzon Expressways to ease traffic congestion in major Metro Manila thoroughfares. / gsg
