Woman yields at least P4.8M worth of ‘shabu’ in Angeles City

ANGELES CITY – Police here seized at least P4.8-million worth of shabu (crystal meth) from a woman during a buy-bust operation on Thursday.

The haul was in the possession of Mary Anne Buntas Dedic who was in the police’s drugs watch list, according to Col. Narvin Mangune, this city’s police director.

Dedic, 35 and a widow, was arrested inside her house in a posh village in Barangay Balibago here at about 11:30 a.m.

The buy-bust operation was coordinated with the Central Luzon unit of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

The poseur-buyer managed to buy a kilogram of shabu for a million pesos. The rest of the shabu was found in her house, police said. /kga
