MANILA, Philippines — Ride-hailing firm Grab Philippines is now letting its customers book a vehicle to have water delivered to their homes.
In a statement on Wednesday, Grab announced a service called Grab IGIB, which will be available for users residing in Marikina City for a limited time.
To get water delivered, users need to book a car and enter the Marikina Grab Igib Water Hub as the pick-up point and the user’s location as the drop-off point.
Grab said users should look for Grab IGIB in the Grab App feed and click on IGIB Today. The service is free as customers need to pay only the cost of the ride, the company said.
Only one container is allowed per booking, but users could opt to buy the container for P100.
The Grab service will run from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. from March 27 to 29 only, or until the supply lasts.
However, the firm warned customers that the water to be delivered is not potable and not safe for drinking.
Grab said the service is available in the following barangays: Escopa III, Escopa IV, Industrial Valley, Jesus de La Pena, Tanong, Santo Nino, Concepcion Dos, Nangka, Parang, Marikina Heights. /ee
