MANILA, Philippines — Three people were hurt in a collision that involved three vehicles along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City on Tuesday morning.
According to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) the accident happened at about 2:30 a.m. and involved a Ford Ranger pick-up (C1 B589), a Mitsubishi Montero SUV (BO F336) and a taxi (ACC 8554).
Police said the vehicles were traveling along Commonwealth Avenue on the northbound lane going to Fairview when the SUV sideswiped the front corner side of the pick up and the left side portion of the taxi.
The collision caused the pick up to crash into the front windshield of the taxi while the SUV flipped on its left side.
Police said Andrea Banda, 22, and Jeorolyn Vitangcol, 21, who are passengers of the pick up driven by 24-year-old Cruz Isidro, were injured.
Also hurt was Jessica Talania, 25, who was aboard the taxi driven by Bonsol Josibo, 34.
The three injured were rushed to the Quirino Memorial Medical Center for immediate medical treatment.
Police said Philip John Cabangon, 42, driver of the SUV will be facing charges for reckless imprudence resulting in multiple damage to property and multiple physical injuries. /muf
