MANILA, Philippines — Seven blocks of suspected cocaine worth an estimated P43.175 million were found floating in the municipal waters of Bagamanoc, Catanduanes on Monday, police said.

Police said three fishermen found the seven blocks of suspected cocaine in a fishnet container at around 1 p.m.

The packaging of the blocks had dollar sign markings and are estimated to weigh 8.635 kilograms, according to police.

The fishermen and a local official turned over the blocks of suspected illegal drugs to the Bagamanoc Municipal Police Station.

The blocks will later be brought to the office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Bicol Region for disposition. /atm
