MANILA, Philippines – Major roads in Metro Manila will undergo repairs and re-blocking from March 22 to 25, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced Friday.
Parts of Edsa, C-5 Road, Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City, and Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard in Manila will be closed to traffic starting 11 p.m. Friday, March 22, until 5 a.m. Monday, March 25.
The affected areas include:
SOUTHBOUND
C-5 intersection and Julia Vargas Avenue in Pasig City
Edsa Lagarian Creek to Ermin Garcia in Quezon City (1st lane from sidewalk)
Katipunan Avenue corner CP Garcia in Quezon City (2nd lane or truck lane)
NORTHBOUND
C-5 in front of SM Aura and Market Market in Taguig City
Edsa – 50 meters after MRT Magallanes Station to KM 29 (outer lane)
Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard from Ramon Magsaysay Bridge to Pureza Street in Manila, going to Cubao.
Meanwhile, Globe Telecom, Inc. will also conduct restoration and concreting works along Congressional Avenue between Jupiter and Pangilinan Streets in Quezon City this weekend.
DPWH advised motorists to avoid said areas and use alternate routes instead as it assured that affected roads will be fully passable by 5 a.m Monday. /kga
