MANILA, Philippines—Assorted prohibited sex enhancer drugs were confiscated in a raid at four Chinese drugstores in Manila and Marikina City this weekend, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Anti-Fraud and Commercial Crimes Division (AFCCD) said Monday.
CIDG Chief, Police Director Samuel D Pagdilao Jr. said that 156 bottles of illegal aphrodisiac drugs amounting to P78,000 were seized from South Ocean Chinese Drugstore in Sta. Cruz, Manila; 167 Hypermart Marketing at MGM Center, I-Like G RTW Trading, and at LCH Health Shop at Marquinto Mall, all of Marikina City.
AFCCD chief, Police Superintendent Honorio Agnila said that CIDG operatives served search warrants against the four establishments for violation of Republic Act 8203, or the Act Prohibiting Counterfeit Drugs.
He said that the confiscated aphrodisiac drugs, suspected to be from China, were banned from distribution and consumption after the Food and Drugs Authority certified that they are not registered.
