Duterte declares holidays in Bukidnon, Pangasinan, Mountain Province

MANILA, Philippines—President Rodrigo Duterte has declared special non-working holidays in the provinces of Bukidnon, Pangasinan and Mountain Province, documents released by Malacañang showed on Tuesday.

By authority of the President, Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea signed on March 13 Proclamation 696 declaring April 5, 2019, a special non-working holiday in the province of Pangasinan to give way for its 439th founding anniversary.

“It is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Pangasinan be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies,” the proclamation stated.

Medialdea also signed on March 15 Proclamation 697 to declare March 22, 2019, a special non-working holiday in Malaybala, Bukidnon for its 21st Charter Anniversary.

The Palace official also signed Proclamation 698 on March 15 to declare April 8, 2019, a special non-working holiday in Mountain Province to for the celebration of its Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
