MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Depression Chedeng has weakened into a low pressure area (LPA) after landfall early Tuesday.
It hit land over Malita, Davao Occidental past 5 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
As of 7 a.m., the LPA was last spotted over Malungon, Sarangani.
All storm signals have been lifted but the orange rainfall warning was in place over Surigao de Sur, Agusan del Sur, South Cotabato, Davao Oriental, Compostela Valley. /muf
