MANILA, Philippines — NLEX Corporation announced on Monday that it would reduce toll rates in its open system by P1 to cushion the impact of the recently approved P10 toll rate increase.
NLEX said that the new toll rates will be implemented starting on March 20, Wednesday.
Following the announcement, the adjusted toll rates are as follows: P54 for Class 1 vehicles, P136 for Class 2 vehicles, and P164 for Class 3 vehicles.
“The reduced toll increases are already reflected in the recently issued toll fare guide for those motorists traveling the entire NLEX,” the corporation said in a statement.
“For customers’ convenience, the fare guide will also include the combined toll fee computation for both NLEX and the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX).
The SCTEX is not included in the toll rate increase,” it added.
The toll rate increase was approved by the Toll Regulatory Board following the recent opening of the Harbor Link Segment 10 traversing the cities of Valenzuela, Malabon, and Caloocan./gsg
