Electrician wounded after being shot in Makati

MANILA, Philippines — A man was injured in Makati after being shot by a suspect who managed to escape after the incident, police reported on Sunday.

The Makati Police identified the victim as Christopher Porlaje, 35, an electrician of Kabayan Hotel, Pasay City and a resident of Sta. Cruz, Laguna.

Report showed that the victim was waiting for his partner along Kalayaan Avenue corner Palawan Street when the suspect approached him and shot him around 8:35 p.m. Saturday.

The suspect and the firearm that was used were unidentified by the police. However, police noted that the suspect fled the scene while onboard his Honda Wave motorcycle going towards Edsa northbound.

Porlaje, meanwhile, is now under medical treatment at Ospital ng Makati after sustaining gunshot wounds in his right hand and on his left foot. /je
