Korean fugitive nabbed in Makati

/ 05:12 AM March 15, 2019

A Korean fugitive who has been hiding in the country was arrested on Wednesday at a posh condominium in Rockwell, Makati City.

The Manila police identified the suspect as Kim Young-In of Incheon province. The South Korean government has been looking for him since 2016 after a court ordered his arrest for phishing.

Kim, who reportedly earned $530,000 through the scam, was arrested by Manila policemen on March 13 based on a warrant issued by Interpol, and in coordination with the Bureau of Immigration and Korean Police Attache Kwon Hyo-sang.

Kim was the second foreign fugitive nabbed by Manila policemen and BI agents in the past week. —AIE BALAGTAS SEE
