MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.0 earthquake struck east of Davao Oriental on Thursday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
In its initial bulletin, Phivolcs reported that the temblor hit 59 kilometers (km) northeast of Baganga tow at 2:03 a.m.
The quake of tectonic origin had a depth of 15 km.
Phivolcs said no aftershocks or damage could be expected from the earthquake. /cbb
