MANILA, Philippines — A call center agent was arrested in Mandaluyong City on Tuesday for allegedly raping his cousin twice.
Police arrested the suspect identified as Juan Meriado, 25, who reportedly raped his cousin, whose name is being withheld for being a minor.
Senior Supt. Moises Villaceran Jr., Mandaluyong City Police chief, told INQUIRER.net on Wednesday that the victim was 16 years old when she reported the alleged rape to authorities in 2018.
Villaceran said the alleged rape incidents happened in 2014 and 2018 in Paco, Manila.
No bail was recommended by the court for the temporary freedom of the suspect, Villaceran said. /je
