Police seize firearms, shabu from electrician in Caloocan

MANILA, Philippines — Operatives from the Caloocan City Police have seized suspected “shabu” (crystal meth), guns, and a hand grenade from an electrician in Caloocan City.
The Northern Police District (NPD) said the suspect, identified as Ramon Meraña, 43.
He was arrested at his residence at Barangay 77 in Caloocan City by virtue of a search warrant issued by Executive Judge Remigio Escalada of Regional Trial Court Branch 123 in Caloocan City.
The police seized from the suspect one cal. 45 colt; one magazine for cal .45; six pieces of live ammunition for Cal. 45; one cal. .38 revolver without serial number; six pieces of live ammunition for cal. 38; one hand grenade; and transparent ziplock containing three packs of suspected shabu. /ee
