MANILA, Philippines — Commuters may soon see the famed Japanese cartoon cat Hello Kitty on their beep cards.

AF Payments Inc.(AFI), the company that produces the beep cards, announced on Friday that it will release the new cards with Hello Kitty designs soon.

“Hello Kitty fans and beep card collectors are in for a treat as AF Payments Inc. is once again releasing limited edition beep cards, this time featuring one of the most iconic cartoon characters – Hello Kitty,” the company said in a statement.

For Hello Kitty’s 45th anniversary, AFI will be releasing three new “kawaii” designs to collect — one each in blue, red, and yellow.

The Hello Kitty limited edition beep cards will be launched in an event on March 15, AFI said.
