MANILA, Philippines — A grass fire broke out at a remote area inside the perimeter of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) Terminal 3 on Thursday morning, the airport fire safety department said.
Rannie Raval of the Naia Terminal 3 Fire Safety Department told INQUIRER.net that the fire started 8:55 a.m.
Raval said that the fire hit a grassy vacant area at the north side of the terminal. He clarified that the fire was outside the airport.
According to Raval, the fire started after a grass cutter exploded.
Airport firemen rushed to the scene. The fire was extinguished at 10:23 a.m.
There were no reported injuries and flights were not affected by the fire, Raval said. /muf
