Fair weather expected as ‘amihan,’ easterlies blow over PH

MANILA, Philippines — Two weather systems are affecting the country, the weather bureau said Thursday.

Extreme Northern Luzon is affected by the northeast monsoon, while the Visayas and Mindanao are covered by easterlies, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Fair weather is expected over the Visayas and Mindanao because of the easterlies, the weather system associated with humid weather.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon are also affected by the easterlies.

Isolated rain and thunderstorms are possible.
