LUCENA CITY – An alleged drug pusher was killed in a buy-bust operation here Wednesday morning.
Colonel Osmundo de Guzman, Quezon police director, said anti-illegal drugs operatives killed Albert Empleo Jr., 25, after he reportedly resisted arrest.
Earlier, police said the suspect sold shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover police officer in Barangay Ibabang Dupay at around 10:30 a.m.
According to police, Empleo realized that he was dealing with police officers and pulled out a caliber .38 revolver and fired at one police officer but missed.
Another police officer who was serving as back up, returned fire and killed Empleo on the spot.
Police said Empleo was included in the police list of local drug personalities. /muf
