3.9-magnitude quake strikes Nueva Vizcaya
BAGUIO CITY — A magnitude 3.9 tremor jolted Nueva Vizcaya and was felt in this mountain city and parts of Benguet on Thursday afternoon.
In its initial earthquake bulletin, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the earthquake struck 16 kilometers southwest of Ambaguio, Nueva Vizcaya at 4:47 p.m.
The earthquake was of tectonic origin and had a depth of 3 km.
No aftershocks and damage were expected, Phivolcs said./lzb
