MANILA, Philippines — Two suspects were arrested in a shooting incident in Malabon that wounded a man on Wednesday morning, the Northern Police District (NPD) reported.
Police identified the suspects as Mark Joseph Tabon, 20; and Robert Pacinlo, 19. Another suspect, Ferdinand Cascante, 24, managed to escape.
Police said the victim, David Bula, 33, called his companion inside the Boss Bien Bar along Dalagang Bukid in Barangay Longos, Malabon, when the suspects approached him and engaged him in a heated confrontation.
Cascante then shot the victim several times and hit him in different parts of the body. He was brought to the Tondo Medical Center for medical treatment.
Police officers arrested Tabon and Pacinlo, but Cascante managed to escape.
Seized from suspects were one firearm, four fired cartridge cases of cal. 22, one fired cartridge case of magnum cal. 22, and one live ammunition of magnum cal. 22.
The suspects were arrested for violation of Republic 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. /ee
