MANILA, Philippines – An American national wanted for distribution of child pornography materials was arrested in Pampanga, the Bureau of Immigration said Wednesday.
BI Commissioner Jaime Morente reported that Gary Jaime Dokulil, 40, was arrested last Friday in his residence in Clark Field, Angeles City in Pampanga by operatives from Bureau’s Fugitive Search Unit (FSU).
Morente said the United States (US) Embassy sought the BI’s assistance in locating Dokulil after a US District Court in Minnesota issued a warrant for his arrest for allegedly disseminating child pornography materials.
BI-FSU Chief Bobby Raquepo said that Dokulil arrived in the Philippines last Jan. 11, six days before the Minnesota court ordered his arrest.
The Dakota Country District Court in Minnesota also convicted the American national on charges that he was involved in “terroristic threats” for causing “extreme fear by use of violent threats.”
US Federal Agents are expected to take custody of Dokulil after the BI Board of Commissioners issue the order for the suspect’s summary deportation.
“He will be deported for posing risk to public safety and security as his presence here presents a threat to our Filipino children anyone of who could be his next victim,” Morente said. / gsg
