MANILA, Philippines — At least seven candidates from the Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) slate were present on Wednesday for their campaign sortie in San Andres, Manila.
Reelectionist Cynthia Villar, returning former senators Jinggoy Estrada and Bong Revilla, former police and corrections chief Ronald dela Rosa, former Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos, former MMDA chair Francis Tolentino, and former Presidential aide Bong Go spoke in front of Manila local government officials and residents.
HNP founder and chairperson Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte and former President and Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada, who endorsed the HNP candidates, were also present during the event.
Estrada also brought his own line-up for the local elections — vice mayoralty candidate Amado Bagatsing and councilors of every Manila district.
HNP has a total of 13 candidates in their slate, including Taguig Rep. Pia Cayetano, Senators JV Ejercito, Sonny Angara, Aquilino Pimentel III, Maguindanao Rep. Zajid Mangudadatu, and veteran journalist Jiggy Manicad. /je
